June 13, 2010 - Tornado and Flash Flooding
Governor Henry requested public assistance for 7 counties hard hit by the June 13th storms.  The White House denied assistance July 13, 2010.

July 6th through 12th flooding assistance in 7 counties (Oklahoma, Canadian, Cleveland, Kingfisher, Lincoln, Logan and Pottawatomie counties.)
Uninsured damages or slow to pay insurance claims may be eligible for Small Business Administration low interest loans for businesses, homeowners and renters.  Call 1-800-659-2955 for more on how to qualify for help.

May 10-13, 2010 - Tornados
Governor Henry announced (July 12) that more Oklahoma counties were approved for assistance.  Counties of Alfalfa, Cleveland, Garvin, Grant, Love, Okmulgee, McIntosh, Major, Noble, Okfuskee, Osage, Pottawatomie and Seminole are approved for public assistance.

HUD Announcement May 28, 2010, Recent Oklahoma Tornados, Strong Winds
The Department of Housing and Urban Development is offering disaster assistance to Oklahomans in the seven counties that were included in a disaster declaration approved by President Obama. 

The counties included in the disaster declaration are Carter, Cleveland, McIntosh, Okfuskee, Oklahoma, Pottawatomie, and Seminole.

HUD says it will be able to offer the state the ability to re-allocate existing federal resources toward disaster relief through programs like Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and can grant a 90-day moratorium on foreclosures of Federal Housing Administration (FHA)-insured home mortgages.

USDA web site with Oklahoma Housing by county

Tulsa Housing Authority contact information 
Tulsa Housing Authority gives preference to families displaced by natural disaster.
Families must first apply with THA (see web site for contact information) and are placed at the top of the waiting list for available housing.
THA will waive any rent or Security Deposits for displaced families.
THA will connect the utilities in our name until we can get them linked up to start receiving any money from the Federal government (FEMA) or the Red Cross.
THA Property Managers will refer all residents being housed under this waiver to the Service Coordinators to be linked with services.
Service Coordinators will assist these families.
